Pepe & Sally: Exploring California

This adorable couple of kities are Remington (the handsome black and white) and Sally (little 3 month old girl) who had a kitty slumber party at Scott and Sandy's home in San Luis Obispo in October. Scott drove the kitties from Oakland to his home where they had their slumber party, and the next day, Lisa drove up from Newport Beach to get them. She brought them south to Newport and kept Sally for her family; Suzanne drove up from San Diego to Newport Beach to get Remi who is now living wtih three border collies, another kitty and has been renamed Pepe!

"Pepe is now doing great! He is roaming around the house and has gotten very used to the dogs except when they bark like nuts when someone comes to the door. He likes the other new kitty but the other kitty isn't too sure about him.

I hope it is OK but we have renamed him. My husband had a "Name the Kitties" contest among the secretaries at work. The winners received a $20 gift certificate to Starbucks. The winning names were Pepe (Remi) and Poncho (Kido). We tried to keep the names sounding a bit like their old names at least in the ending sounds.

Pepe (Remi) really likes to play. He likes to play with his toys. His way to dealing with Poncho's occasional hissing is to run as fast as he can past Poncho and then jump up on a table or counter. He has a "Boy that was fun" look afterwards. Pepe is continuing to gain weight. I am going to take him to the vet tomorrow to get him micro-chipped and have a little checkup. I think even indoor animals should be micro-chipped.
