Maine Coon Adoptions is the adoption division of Preventing Euthanasia Through Rescue (PET Rescue), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so your donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
How your donation helps
All adoptions fees and donations go directly to helping kitties by paying veterinary bills and purchasing supplies such as medicines, microchips and special diets. Maine Coon Adoptions is an all-volunteer group, which means that there are no salaries to pay, and all of our funds can be used to help kitties.
We spend much more on our kitties than the adoption fee the new family pays. Between vet exams, vaccinations, and treatment for illness and other conditions, we often struggle to pay our bills. All funding for our rescue work comes from donations, adoption fees, and fundraising activities. As one of our donors said, “You guys do great work, and you need money to do it.”. The more money we can raise, the more kitties we can save. Your donation is literally saving kitty lives.
