In consideration of my receiving the MC/Mix cat:

I HEREBY AGREE TO:
I AGREE THAT:
Waiver and Disclaimer: IN ADOPTING THIS KITTY, I UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT: 1. PET Rescue has not made any representations regarding this particular cat other than information given to them by former owners and the member's own observations of the cat while in their presence. 2. To the best of our knowledge, all of our kitties are in good health when we send them to their new families. They have gotten rabies, distemper and FVRCP shots and have been tested for FELV/FIV, but we cannot promise that your new kitty is healthy. We strongly recommend, therefore, that you take your new kitty to your own vet for a "healthy kitty exam" before exposing your kitty to other pets in your household. A quarantine period is also highly recommended. Moving to a new environment can be very stressful on a cat, and your new kitty may react by exhibiting physical or behavioral changes initially. We recommend that you take a look at the article about introducing new cats to your household under the "Kitty Care Info" link on our website (mainecoonadoptions.com). PET Rescue cannot guarantee, and assumes no liability for, the health or behavior of a cat; nor is PET Rescue responsible for any costs or damages related to, or resulting from, a cat's health or behavior. Once you take your kitty home, PET Rescue will not be responsible for veterinary bills or other expenses. 3. While our vets do their best to estimate the ages of our foster kitties, we cannot guarantee that they have estimated correctly, so your kitty actually may be younger or older than our estimates. 4. Most of the cats PET Rescue rescues and fosters are Maine Coon mixes. We look for Maine Coon traits such as ear and foot tufts, length of the coat and ruff, bushy tails, eye color, personality traits, etc. when we identify kitties in shelters, but it is impossible to tell from just looking at a cat if it is related to the Maine Coon. Because the Maine Coon is a natural breed, there are cats all over the world that resemble the Maine Coon. Thus, PET Rescue cannot guarantee that our adoptable cats are, in fact, of Maine Coon parentage. 5. PET Rescue accepts no responsibility for any liability or for any injury or damages to any person or property caused by this cat, as well as any cause of action, claims, suits or demands whatsoever that may arise as a result of such injury or damage.

This agreement shall be interpreted under the laws of the State of California. Any litigation under this agreement shall be resolved in the small claims courts of the State of California in the county in which the adopted cat was in foster care immediately prior to adoption.
